Kids Fashion Design Contest 2015 is now open for entries
Held by UBM China, Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai - China's must-attend trade event for kids' fashion, will open its doors to kids fashion industry players from 22-24 July 2015 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China. On its second year, the event will showcase over 100 fashion labels for kids from all over the world, including Baby Touch, Barefoot Dreams, Bibi, Cececo, Devilollipop, Dickies, Dr.Apple, Ecobibi, Farg&Form by KIDSTOPIA, Finn+Emma, Four-Lads, Martin Marietta, MOCCIS, Rockin' Baby, SCHWARTZ, Taranis and more.
Kicking off this year's Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai is the much-anticipated Kids Fashion Design Contest. The contest aims to bring kids fashion design and aspiring designers to the spotlight. It is also the platform for aspiring designers to standout and be recognized.
Kids Fashion Design Contest 2015 is now open for entries. Contest is open for all designers and students from all over the world. Submission deadline is April 30, 2015. Finalists, selected by a distinguished panel of judges, will be announced by end of May. Finalists will have the opportunity to have their collections on display at the Kids Fashion Design Contest Gallery and take center stage at the Kids Fashion Shows at Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai. Final judging will take place during Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai in July. First prize winner get RMB 30,000 in cash, and second prize will get RMB 20,000, third prize will get RMB 10,000. Other finalists will get RMB 2,000 each.
Launched in 2014, the first Kids Fashion Design Contest received over 800 entries. Top 20 entries were short listed as finalists. Their collections were featured in a Kids Fashion Show and Gallery at Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai. The distinguished panel of judges was made up of notable fashion designers and heads of fashion associations from China, France, Italy, Singapore and Spain. Tan Li from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Bao Zhengcheng from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology are among the top three winners, with Zhang Xinqing from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, taking home the top prize with her collection "Color Dream."
China Designers Association Vice President Ms. Wu Haiyan said, "The designers did a great job. They presented collection and creations representing the younger generation. I am very glad to see so many young and skillful designers. They will be the future of this industry."

We can see that the younger generation of parents is looking for more fashionable and trendy clothes and accessories for their child," says Athena Gong, General Manager of CBME. "China's fashion designers have always focused on adult fashion. With this award, we want to give young designers a head start in the industry, connect them to industry players, find partnership opportunities and help boost children fashion in China."
Other highlights of Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai 2015 include Trend Zone, Trend Forums, Kids Fashion Museum, Kids Fashion Shows and Private Networking Events.
Cool Kids Fashion Shanghai is the perfect platform for fashion industry players to meet and do business, and at the same time spot the international fashion trends and get hands-on experience on how to running a more successful business in kids fashion related area.
